Kayak Summary

HatchThe Sportek Coasteer Inflatable Tandem Kayak is designed to carry 2 persons. It is a lightweight Inflatable Kayak with good manoeuvrability and absolutely perfect for a fun day on the water either at the seashore or down the river.

The Coasteer has two adjustable seats and two foot rests for comfort, together with bungee tie-downs at the stern for securing cargo such as snorkelling gear. The open stern design allows for easy access to the cargo area and getting back on board whilst swimming.  In this model, there is a special built-in transparent window at the bow to allow underwater viewing of marine life as you paddle.Handle

The Sportek Coasteer Inflatable Tandem Kayak has directional strakes for tracking performance and a removable fin. There is also a convenient paddle holder on the side of the hull. Two carry handles and the lightweight construction allow for easy portage.

The Coasteer Kayak weighs 9kg and can carry a maximum load of 140kg.

How much will delivery cost me? 

Not a lot! We always try to keep postage costs down to an absolute minimum, so rather than having a set amount for postage, we only charge for what you get. Please use the postage calculator on the product page or in the shopping basket to get an exact quote for the products you are interested in. Please note that any quote in a product page includes any products in the basket if there are any.

How long will it take?

Economy delivery usually takes 3-5 working days from dispatch to reach you. 
If you need the item faster then you also have the option to upgrade to standard or Express 24hr delivery at extra cost.

If you use the 24 hr service, this will still be the quickest way to get your goods, but may still take 48 hrs to arrive.

UK Deliveries:

When you place an order in our shop, the goods are in stock at our warehouse. We aim to dispatch orders on the same day they are received.

Royal Mail 1st Class, 2nd Class and Tracked: At the checkout, you have a choice of Economy Delivery (3-5 days), Standard Delivery (1-2 days), or Express Next Day. 

With Economy and Standard delivery, your order will be sent via Royal Mail if it is under 1.75Kg or by Courier if it is over that weight.  For larger items or multiple item orders where the total weight is over 1.75kg we use our secure courier.

Courier Deliveries: All Express Next Day, plus some Economy and Standard  deliveries will be made by our Couriers - DPD. All Courier parcels will need to be signed for on delivery unless you make special arrangements directly with the Company. DPD do not deliver on Saturdays.

Saturday deliveries: We can often do this! The best way is to call our customer service department on 01872 888132 Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm before you place the order. There will be an additional charge for Saturday delivery, but we always try to keep this to a minimum. If you decide you want a Saturday delivery after you have placed the order, please give us a call and we can try to change the details on the system as long as the order has not already been processed.

We can offer a one hour delivery time slot so you don’t need to wait in all day for your parcels!
We have worked with our couriers DPD to develop an interactive service which advises you by e-mail when your package will arrive, with a one hour delivery window. If it is more convenient, you will also have the option to reorganise your delivery for a time to suit you.

Next Day Delivery Times:  DPD deliver to most UK addresses on the next working day by 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (except Public and Bank holidays).  The next day service does not normally include delivery on a Saturday. If however you need to upgrade to Saturday delivery, please contact Customer services on 01872 888132.

UK Outlying areas: The delivery time may be extended from the usual 24 hours and can take up to 48 hours. Unlike many online retailers we do not charge extra for delivery to the following post codes but they are destinations where orders will normally take 48 hours to arrive -

Kayak Deliveries:   Kayaks will normally take 3 days to arrive via our specialist Courier Service.  For a small extra charge and to addresses on the UK mainland only, you can get next-day delivery.

Kayak deliveries will arrive between 8:30am and 5:30pm (not including Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays).  Whilst we cannot set a specific time for kayak delivery, we can provide you with the details of the Courier so you can make arrangements to suit yourself.  

Kayak deliveries to UK offshore addresses and the more outlying areas carry a delivery surcharge and take a minimum of 3 days to arrive.

Products / accessories ordered with kayaks: Any goods you order at the same time as the kayak(s) will come free of shipping costs, so if you want next day delivery just upgrade the kayak(s), no need to upgrade the other products as they will all come together.

Free Delivery: Where we say Free Delivery, we should probably say Delivery Included! In the unlikely event that you wish to return the goods, we reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee of 10% of the total value. For full details, please see our Returns FAQ.

International Kayak Deliveries: The only international destination (outside UK & CI) we send kayaks and some other large items to is Republic of Ireland. We are unable to send kayaks to any other destination in the world at this time

International Deliveries General:

We use Royal Mail or Parcelforce Priority Services for all our International deliveries. Whilst there is a charge for all international deliveries on top of the cost of the goods, our policy is to keep this to an absolute minimum.

Australia, Italy and South American delivery delays: Some customers have recently experienced longer than expected delivery times via standard Airmail parcel post for Australia, Italy and South America and in some cases orders have taken three to four weeks to arrive. This is not true in every case and does not affect our Courier Services.  If you have any questions please send an e-mail to service@the-hubs.co.uk

FAQs

When will my item be delivered? 

Most smaller items are sent via Royal Mail and will arrive with your postman during their usual daily visit.

If your item(s) is bulky, heavy or more valuable than our average packet, then it will probably arrive with one of our couriers and will need a signature on arrival. Couriers will arrive at any time between 8:30am and 5pm, however our new delivery time slot system advises you by e-mail when your package will arrive, with a one hour delivery window. If it’s more convenient, you will also have the option to reorganise your delivery at a time which suits you.

Unfortunately our couriers do not deliver on Saturdays or on public holidays unless by special arrangement. If you do require Saturday delivery, please call us on 01872 888132 and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Do you give shipping discount for multiple items (combine shipping)?

If you order multiple items we have already included a discount for you built into the delivery costs and the goods will usually all be delivered at the same time. If you want to buy a large number of items, please call Customer services for an individual quote. We will always be happy to help.

I am an international buyer, what postage options do I have? 

International shipping options are included in the shipping calculator. This will tell you if we are able to ship that particular item t your destination and how much it will cost.

Buyers may also be responsible for duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees as determined by the law of the country of destination. If shipments require a Customs Declaration it will be attached to the parcel. 

If you live outside the UK and shipping costs are not specified in the listing, please e-mail us with details of the item you're interested in plus your country of residence and we will be happy to give you a quote.

Can I collect my order?

YES - if you are able to get to our Warehouse near Tresillian, Truro, Cornwall TR2 4HF then you can collect with no delivery costs. Please call 01872 888132 to arrange a convenient time

When will you despatch my item?

If your order has been placed by 2:00pm and paid for, we will dispatch it the same day Monday - Friday, not including Public Holidays. 


If your order is received later, we will still try our best to send it out on the same day. Orders received after 2:00pm may not be sent as we have to meet our Carriers’ collection schedules. Please assume that any order placed after 2:00pm will leave our warehouse on the next working day. 

N.B. All Kayaks need to be ordered by 11:00am as they are delivered by Special Carrier. Any Kayaks ordered after 11:00am will be dispatched the next day. 

How soon will I get my item?

At The Hubs we always aim to get your goods delivered fast. Most of our customers do get their items the next day, however this cannot be guaranteed unless you use our Express Delivery option. 

Will the package need a signature?

Most of our deliveries will require you to be there to accept the delivery and some will require a signature. If you need to make special arrangements, please call 01872 888132 or send an e-mail to service@the-hubs.co.uk

I need my item(s) tomorrow, can you help?

To guarantee delivery of your order for the next working day (not including Saturday), please pay by 2:00pm and opt for Next Day Delivery. First class delivery is usually very good and generally does get there the next day but obviously Royal Mail cannot guarantee it.

If you live in the more outlying areas of the UK, we cannot guarantee next day delivery even if you select that service at checkout as our courier can sometimes take 2 days.

If your order is placed after 2:00pm, don’t panic! Please call customer service on 01872 888132 and we will do our very best to help you. .

What delivery company do you use?

We use Royal Mail primarily for all our small packages, for bigger parcels we tend to use DPD Couriers as we have found them to be the best in the UK. Currently we are using Night Freight for kayak deliveries.

I need my item delivered on a Saturday, can you help?

Do you dispatch to The Scottish Highlands, UK islands, N.Ireland and The Channel Islands?

Yes, delivery to outlying areas is taken into account with all our tariffs. We do not charge any extra for delivery to these addresses unless you are ordering a kayak, in which case you will be shown the exact cost of your shipment within the product page and when you go through checkout process.

I need my order sent to a different address to the one on my order what shall I do?

All invoices are automatically generated by our system using the address provided when you check out. If you require an alternative address please let us know by e-mail or preferably over the phone. A note in the PayPal section or e-mail may not always read before the invoice is printed and the goods are dispatched.

If you change your address in your "My Account" area after you have placed the order, this will probably not get to us, so please call to make sure we are posting to the correct address.

Do you dispatch to The Scottish Highlands, UK islands, N.Ireland and The Channel Islands?

Yes. If your address has a UK post code, there is no extra charge for shipping with Royal Mail, if however the item has to be sent by courier, there may be an additional charge and longer delivery times for some items. Items which require specialist delivery will have this stated on the listing.

Do you ship to BFPO addresses?

Yes. When you checkout, please choose UK 1st class. We don't believe our Service personnel or their family and friends should pay any more than Standard UK delivery.

How do I know if my item has been sent?

You will receive an automated e-mail confirmation when your items have been dispatched.

Do I have postage insurance if my item is lost?

YES! Insurance cover is provided in the cost of shipping stated in the listing. Royal Mail 1st class or 1st class recorded allows a maximum compensation of £34 and can be processed 15 working days after the date of posting. For further information and updates please visit www.royalmail.com.

In our experience Royal Mail deliver the goods 99.7% of the time so it really is very rare that things go missing these days. We will always provide all the delivery information required to make postage claims.

Items delivered via our secure 24 hour couriers are fully insured by us. If the item is lost, we will send out a replacement straight away and credit you for the original delivery costs.

I missed my delivery and now it is on its way back to you, what shall I do?

If any item is returned to us because Royal Mail or our Couriers were unable to deliver, we reserve the right to request the re-postage costs if the item needs to be sent again. If you require a refund then your postage will not be refunded. Please see our Returns FAQ for full Terms and Conditions. 

What do your P&P costs include?

Our postage charges include charges in addition to the actual cost of postage for the item. These are the costs of packaging materials and a handling fee to cover our time.

Feedback and disputes:
We know that delivering what you order, when you want it is the most important thing we have to do. If something goes wrong, and occasionally it does, then fixing it becomes our main priority. If there is a problem, please contact us and we will resolve it, hopefully without the need for poor feedback, or disputes.

Need to return something? You do not need to tell us in advance about a return you intend to make, just follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. Please read the detailed returns information below to determine the most appropriate action to take.
  2. Put the order back in the packaging it arrived in or something similar and label it with our address, which can be found at the bottom of this sheet.
  3. Fill in the details on the returns form section and enclose this document whole in the package.
  4. Drop the parcel into a Post office or your preferred carrier. Please obtain proof of postage and ensure that we will receive the goods within 14 days of receipt for UK orders and 30 days for non-UK orders.

Duplicated or unwanted goods: Please use steps 2-4 for a prompt product refund. We are unable to refund any postage costs for this type of return and will assume responsibility for the goods only when they have arrived at our premises. Items must arrive with us within 14 days of receipt for UK orders and 30 days for non-UK orders.

Faulty / damaged on arrival or wrong item sent: Please give us a call on 01872 888132 or send an email to returns@the-hubs.co.uk within 3 days of arrival.  We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out at the first opportunity and usually email you a pre-paid returns label to use within the UK. Then continue from step 2.

Exchanges: The simplest and quickest way to exchange an item is to place another order for the product you want and send the original item(s) back for a refund. In this case, please follow the procedure for duplicated or unwanted goods and ignore the exchange section when filling in the form. Please call or email if you need help with this.

If you want to wait until we receive the original item back, continue from step 2 and fill in the exchange details on the form. Provided the items are in stock, we will calculate any difference between the price of the new item(s) and the item(s) returned, add any applicable postage and contact you to arrange payment.

N.B. We are only able to exchange any item for the same product in a different size / colour. If you require a different product, please place a new order and send the original item(s) back for a refund following the procedure for duplicated or unwanted goods.

When we receive your return, we will send you an email to confirm the receipt and agree the action to be taken.
We are only able to refund the original postage and packing charge if you have been sent incorrect items or they are faulty or damaged.

N.B. All unwanted or exchange items must be in original, undamaged packaging including original labels and packed in the same way they arrived with you. They must be in saleable condition and not worn other than to have been tried on, as this will mean that they are unsuitable for resale and we will be unable to issue a refund. If this is the case, we will need to return them back to you. For reasons of hygiene, we can only refund or exchange undergarments, tights, wigs if they have a manufacturing fault.

International returns (non- UK): We cannot accept exchanges from outside the UK and will only refund items returned to us. Please mark your documentation and package clearly as ‘RETURNED GOODS’ to avoid delays in customs. Please keep copies of your shipping documents so that you can make a claim with the carrier if your parcel gets lost.
